FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you make the candles?
Absolutely! We are the leading manufacturer of candles in Canada, located on the South Shore of Montreal. The warehouse covers an area of over 40,000 square feet with several production departments to meet the demands of our customers as diverse as can be.
What are the raw materials used?
We use several raw materials for the manufacture of our candles such as soy wax, beeswax, food grade paraffin, palm wax and coconut wax. The wax is carefully selected by our chemist according to the candle model to be produced, and the project. Quality checks are carried out on each production batch to ensure that burning time is optimal.
Is it possible to use our own logo?
Certainly!
Option 1: You may have the label of your choice printed with your logo.
Option 2: We work from your labels.
Can you provide the fragrances?
We can suggest certain fragrances to you from our inventory or you can tell us the fragrances that interest you and we will order samples from our supplier.
You can also provide your own fragrance! We will make sure it is compatible with our candles.
Can you provide the containers?
We can suggest some container models from our inventory, or you can send us images/models of the container of your choice, and we will do the research for you.
If you already have your own containers, you can also provide them to us. We will check if the containers are heat resistant and if they are suitable for pouring a candle.
What is the production lead time?
Allow about 2-4 weeks from when we have all the components needed to start production. When production is started, the delay varies according to the quantity to be produced.
Are there any development costs?
No fees apply.
However, we do ask for a security deposit of $ 700 before development begins. This deposit will be credited to the customer on their first order. If no order is placed for the developed product, the deposit will be forfeited. The $ 700 includes 1 candle model to develop for several different fragrances.
Do you have minimum quantities to order?
Yes! This quantity is determined according to the wax capacity of the container. We have a minimum quantity to respect in our wax basin.
Example :
- If the customer supplies their own perfume in an 8 oz container: MOQ per fragrance is approximately 300 units.
- If Chandelles Tradition purchases a perfume specifically for the customer in an 8 oz container: MOQ per fragrance is approximately 700 units.
*Note that several factors may change depending on the percentage of perfume and the actual wax capacity in the container.
